COURSE
DESCRIPTION This course provides students with
basic inserter knowledge and skills needed for maintaining
and troubleshooting inserter systems. Emphasis will be on
the 8/9 Series Chassis mechanical system. Students will
be instructed in basic operating parameters via the ISC
platforms.
In addition, the following topics
will be covered:
Input modules: High
Capacity Sheet Feeder (HiCap), FIM, Accumulator,
Folder, Transport/ Buffer, and Burster
Output section of the
inserter
Basic system troubleshooting
and paper handling techniques
Setup and operation
of the chassis and current inputs
Introduction to basic
OMR scanning
All safety procedures pertaining to system Lockout /
Tagout will be covered in this class.
PREREQUISITES
Students should have
spent at least one month working with a Pitney
Bowes Inserter system prior to training.
