Fewer Stoppages, Smaller Footprint
Traditional digital printing technology requires periodic
stoppages to perform print head self-maintenance.
However, the DM Infinity Series employs a patented two-print
head design that allows one print head to print the indicia,
while the other can perform required maintenance. This
unique design enables virtual non-stop printing performance,
even in the highest-volume environments. When
combined with the Pitney Bowes Advanced Productivity
Inserting System (APS), mailers can now meter up to
22,000 mailpieces per hour.
Also, most production mailing systems utilize multiple
meters to process mixed-weight mail at high speeds. This
redundancy results in an increased system footprint and
potentially reduced reliability. The DM Infinity Series’ Reset-On-The-Fly technology, however, processes mixedweight
mail with one DM Infinity Digital Mailing System providing a small footprint and metering at speeds up to
18,000 mailpieces per hour.
Patented “Ink Saver” Technology Lowers Costs
The DM Infinity Series is affordable for the production mail
market. Production mailers typically induct mail under controlled
acceptance procedures. It leverages a new and
unique smaller indicia for controlled acceptance mail that
uses approximately 50% less ink than traditional inkjet
metering systems. Also, through the use of a unique black
ink formulation, the DM Infinity Series provides maximum
readability, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Now, thanks to the cost-effective printing of the DM
Infinity Series, along with the additional ability to print
custom messages on the mailpiece, mailers can personalize
the mailpiece as well as improve the overall value of the
physical mail.
Compatible, Easily Integrated
Since the DM Infinity Series is broadly compatible with
both existing Pitney Bowes and competitive production
mail inserting systems, it enables all high-volume mailers
to enjoy the benefits of metered mail at higher speeds and
with increased reliability. It easily integrates with DFWorks
and OMS, which provide enterprise-wide postage accounting
and centralized funds management with true reconciliation
down to 1 / 100 of a cent.
Personalized Messaging Increases Value of Mail
The DM Infinity Series also features Pitney Bowes’ patented
Intelli Link Technology and advanced digital printing capabilities,
which enables mailers to download and print standard and
custom-designed messages and/or graphics at the touch of
a button. Gone are the days of installing and uninstalling
messy ink-covered metal slugs as jobs change. With these
innovations, high-volume mailers can now both easily and
quickly enhance the value of mail with unique personalized
messages, slogans and/or endorsements, thereby increasing
the effectiveness of customer communications.
Customer Communications Management
Of course, better efficiency in mail processing, which contributes
significantly to the lowest possible cost per mailpiece,
is a vital concern for virtually all print/mail finishing managers.
Innovative managers today recognize that the key
challenge in achieving higher efficiencies is to increase
the effectiveness of every customer contact. This approach
is defined as Customer Communications Management
(CCM). Pitney Bowes has the comprehensive and cohesive
set of solutions that streamline, integrate and enrich every
aspect of the customer communications flow, from the routine
yet essential applications of billing and collections to the valueadded
activities of marketing, call center and customer care.
With the high-speed DM Infinity Series Digital Mailing
System, production mailers can now realize added value
and unique benefits that enables them to increase operational
efficiency as well as the effectiveness of their customer
communications.
